fuzz Buster

Start up the fuzz buster right before you start driving and mount it using any phone dashboard holder. While you drive the fuzz buster scans for the radar waves that officers use in their speed scanning guns, as well as uses sound recognition to detect police sirens. If Fuzz Buster detects either, it begins recording using both the front and back facing camera. If video begins recording and after 5 minutes, and fuzz buster does not detect a decrease in your speed from being pulled over, it will ask if you would like to keep recording. If you do not respond, it will stop recording.

When you're done driving, turn off the app and it will notify you if video was recorded at any time during your trip. It will be separated into two categories, suggesting wether or not the app thinks the content is significant, this is based on if the app detected a police stop or if it ended recording. It is your choice what to do with these videos! Post them to Facebook, send them to the police department, or just delete them! They are time stamped so if you recorded anything that could be used as evidence, it is validated.

Because the video recorded is your own property, there is no official validation for these videos. But seeing is believing! Footage that is falsified we appear to be so. However, if used as evidence, the police will review it and see if it is verifiably accurate.

Normally, Fuzz Buster will appear outwardly on the phone while the app runs. It will show images, but not record, much like when you have your camera open, but not taking pictures. However there is a spy mode, where the app will run and function the same, but be open under a different app. Run your maps on your dashboard, but still allow Fuzz Buster to do its thing. That way, if a cop pulls you over, they don't see that they are being recorded.

When passengers get into your car that do not want to be a part of your footage, register their face using a facial recognition software. After that, at any point that the app begins recording, the passengers face will appear pixelated if it is seen during the video. You can also go through and add pixels over peoples faces after reviewing the video yourself. If you got juicy footage of a police stop, you could post it to social media or sell it to news outlets while still protecting you and your passengers' identities.

1. Live Streaming "Social Mode"

This mode allows people to use live stream their entire drive. This could be used to vlog about experiences involving a police incident.

2. Uploads after a drive

This allows users to post, stream as they please on Facebook or other social media sites.

3. Story mode "My Drive"

Much like a snapchat or Instagram story, users can post footage that they have taken that will be viewable for 24 hours after it is posted.

How does it work?

Where does the footage go?

WHo validates the footage?

What if I want to use it discretely?

What if my passengers dont want to be seen?
